DESPITE ADVERSE WEATHER IN THE CLEVELAND AREA, WE ARE GOING AHEAD WITH THE WORKSHOP. LARRY HOLLAR HAS ARRIVED SAFELY IN CLEVELAND ON FRIDAY SO WE'RE A GO FOR SATURDAY! HOWEVER, PLEASE MAKE A WISE CHOICE ON WHETHER YOU COME BASED ON HOW THE SNOW IS IN YOUR AREA. WE WANT YOU ABOVE ALL TO BE SAFE! WE'LL WELCOME ANYONE WHO COMES AND WISH THOSE WHO CAN'T COME A SAFE AND RESTFUL SATURDAY.
Learn ways you and your friends, church and campus colleagues, and others can help reduce poverty and hunger throughout the world by convincing Congress to fund effective poverty-focused development assistance programs. Hear stories that show how people are taking hold of solutions. Get the advocacy tools, the creative spark, and the knowledge you need to make a difference in ending hunger and poverty and help achieve the Millennium Development Goals!
This workshop is offered free of charge. Registration begins at 8:45 am. Morning refreshments will be available.
Following the Offering of Letters workshop that ends at noon, those interested in discussing ways to revitalize the Cleveland-area Bread for the World local group will stay for an additional hour to discuss next steps. If you plan to stay for that discussion, please bring a sack lunch for yourself; the church will provide drinks.
For directions to St. Noel, see the church Web site at http://www.stnoel.org/about/map.html or call the church office at (440) 946-0887. Watch for the church's sign on Chardon Road (Rt. 6), and follow the long driveway to the main parking lot. Enter the third set of doors off that parking lot and look for signs to the workshop.
