Pride Is Back, Hillsborough
In an outrageous act of bigotry, the Hillsborough County Commission voted to bar county agencies from recognizing or participating in Gay Pride Month or any events that portray gay people in a positive light. If you are a Hillsborough resident, please sign the petition below.

Subject: Pride Is Back, Hillsborough
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
I am outraged that the Hillsborough County Commission has put its stamp of approval on a policy that discriminates against any segment of our community. This policy is not a sign of neutrality, it is an outright ban that prevents county agencies from participating or recognizing any event that portrays the gay community in a favorable light. Already libraries have yanked down exhibits that celebrate gay authors and poets. This is appalling to every fair-minded person who lives, works and pays taxes in Hillsborough. We are proud to call Hillsborough County home but the County Commissions actions are an embarrassment and must be undone. Repeal this ban now.
