Action PAC and our members were among Steve's most ardent
supporters, having targeted this race early in the campaign
season as on of the most important of the year.
We
issued a rallying cry and you responded! By Election Day our
supporters contributed thousands of dollars and hundreds of
volunteer shifts to help with an amazing ground offensive.
This win has a
statewide impact.
St. Pete is now
the largest city in Florida to have an openly gay elected
official. As the 4th largest city in the state, St.
Pete's influence reaches far beyond its borders and this victory
for Steve means a victory for Florida's LGBT community
statewide.
