For the University to realize its goals and continue to be an economic engine for the state, the University and the State of Minnesota must have a strong partnership. The University has put together a reasonable 2008 capital request that will allow the University to sustain its high level of quality and competitiveness and better position the University to contribute to the future economy of Minnesota.

RIGHT NOW the House and Senate Capital Investment Committees are working to put together their bonding recommendations. Over the next few weeks, the House and Senate will be finalizing and voting on their bonding bills. This process will help to determine how much money the University will receive. Your legislators' support is critical to the University of Minnesota receiving its full capital request. All legislators need to hear from University supporters about how fully funding the University's capital request will benefit the entire state.
