For the University to realize its goals and continue to be an economic engine for the state, the University and the State of Minnesota must have a strong partnership. The University has put together a reasonable 2008-2009 biennial budget request, which includes $123.4 million in new state funding over the course of two years. These investments will strongly support the University's goal of becoming one of the top public research universities in the world.
