At his confirmation hearings, John Roberts refused to answer Lambda Legal’s questions and to affirm that all Americans have the same fundamental rights. He wasn’t willing to affirm that LGBT people and those with HIV are are entitled to equality and fairness under the law.

Lambda Legal, therefore, opposes John Roberts’s nomination and urges the Senate to vote against his confirmation as the 17th Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
