They are all key players in the K Street Project, an effort founded after the 1994 elections by Tom DeLay and Jack Abramoff to pressure lobbying firms and trade associations to give jobs to Republican loyalists. Rick Santorum currently runs this unethical project that undermines Democracy and the legislative process in Washington.
The K Street Project personifies the culture of corruption that has led to the indictment of Tom DeLay and the guilty plea of Jack Abramoff. Yet, Rick Santorum has the audacity to call the K Street Project "good government." It's no surprise that Bill Frist asked Santorum, the embodiment of the pay to play culture in Washington, to head up the Republican "ethics reform" effort.
