The Consumer Access to Health Information bill, HR 2352, is pending before Congress. The bill is pro-dietary supplements in that it would clarify that accurate labeling claims on the curative, mitigation, treatment, and prevention effects of foods and dietary supplements on disease and health-related conditions would not cause a product to be treated as a drug by the FDA. The bill would ensure that the FDA does not suppress accurate health claims.
