The short explanation of this alert was:

Lawmakers have introduced the federal Employment Nondiscrimination Act (ENDA) in Congress to fight sexual orientation and gender identity discrimination in the workplace.

Lambda Legal has a long history of addressing workplace fairness through our litigation, education and advocacy. We need a law that works for everyone, in every state. Laws such as ENDA are the tools that our attorneys use to fight for our ultimate goal – equality.

We hear from approximately 1,000 lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people every year with workplace discrimination questions. But currently there is still no federal law that expressly protects LGBT employees.

Help us make a law that works! Send this letter to your senators and representative, urging them to support ENDA legislation.
