Day For All People at the General Assembly

There are many in need today in Virginia. While dozens of lobbyists come to the General Assembly each January to represent the interests of businesses, trade organizations and other interest groups, the vulnerable have no money to pay for such a service.

The Virginia General Assembly goes into session on January 9th.

The Virginia Interfaith Center invites you to be a part of one of the first lobby days of the session on January 15th. Join us as we help to shape the agenda of the 2009 General Assembly.  We have a great opportunity to set the stage for positive changes in Virginia.

Do you want to see Payday Lending interest rates capped at 36%?  Come to the Day for All People, be a part of the change, and encourage your legislators to take action this year!

Did you know that Virginia is one of only two states in the country that does not restore voting rights to former felons upon the completion of their sentence?  Come to the Day for All People and offer support for the restoration of rights!

The event will start at 9:30am at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Free Parking and Shuttle Service from 9am-3pm  available from St. John's United Church of Christ, 503 Staurt Circle, Richmond, VA 23220.
