community cleanup that I will be conducting on <date of cleanup>.
This cleanup carries on a tradition of annual, all-volunteer community cleanups of the Hudson River going back to Scenic Hudson's first Great River Sweep in 1998.
Although Scenic Hudson, the environmental group based in Poughkeepsie, New York, is no longer sponsoring any sweeps, volunteers like me are coordinating independent cleanups in our local communities.
