Dear Scenic Hudson Member,
Write, call or
speak with the Village Board of Trustees about Lighthouse
Landing Findings Statement
The Sleepy Hollow Board of Trustees is finalizing the
Findings Statement for Lighthouse Landing. When the Village
Board approves (by a vote at a Trustee meeting) the Findings
Statement, the SEQRA process concludes. The Findings Statement
demonstrates that the approved project avoids or minimizes
environmental impacts and balances them with the social,
economic and other essential considerations.
NOW
IS THE TIME TO VOICE YOUR CONCERNS TO VILLAGE
TRUSTEES!
Scenic Hudson is particularly concerned that the buffer for the
future course of the Pocantico between Kingsland Point Park and
the development will not be wide enough. Scenic Hudson and the
Planning Board have asked that the buffer be at least 230 - 250
feet wide.
In addition, Scenic Hudson believes that the proposed 135,000
square feet of commercial/retail development should be retained
in the project so that Lighthouse Landing will function as a
vibrant public place with a mix of stores, shops, restaurants
and residences.
The Board of Trustees will be voting on this in the near
future and need to hear from you now!
