Want to know more about becoming an EARS volunteer?

If you're thinking about becoming an EARS volunteer and you want to know more before you attend an EARS volunteer training workshop, you may sign up for this optional, free online volunteer orientation. The orientation will be live with a UAN staff member and other workshop participants. We'll all be on the phone together, like a conference call, and looking at a presentation together through the Internet.

In addition to answering some of your initial questions, we'll overview some of the following:

  • What are the basic requirements to be an EARS volunteer?
  • How many EARS volunteers does UAN have?
  • Where are EARS volunteers?
  • What do EARS volunteers do?
  • When does EARS deploy to emergency responses?
  • How do EARS volunteers stay in touch?
  • How do EARS volunteers get additional training?
  • As an EARS volunteer, what can I expect when I respond an emergency?
  • What can I expect to learn at the EARS volunteer training workshop?

To attend, you must be able to access the Internet* and be on the phone at the same time. No software downloads are needed.

Participants in this orientation must attend and complete the in-person volunteer workshop to be considered an EARS volunteer.

If you have questions about this orientation, please e-mail Susie Hawkins, Volunteer Coordinator.
